Small World Underground Available for Pre-Order

SWU-Board.jpg

Days of Wonder announced today that Small World Underground is available for pre-orders. My guess is that if there is a limited availability, they won't last long. Remember that Underground is a stand alone title that can be played outside of the base game or can be played in conjunction to give you the flexibility of size and scope of your play experience. The expansion takes players into the underground and includes new terrain types, races, powers, and maps. In addition, the neutral monsters now guard places of power and artifacts that the players can use to their advantage. Head over to the Days of Wonder store and pre-order your copy!

Power Grid Board Game Sale at Tanga Today

PowerGrid.jpg

We know you old school gamers just found a great Christmas Steal for the new gamer in your group. Power Grid is 44% off at Tanga Today!

We waited a long time for the reprint of the fantastic neo classic Power Grid [Amazon, Funagain] to hit shelves. But we couldn't wait long enough so we settled on picking up a copy of Power Grid for $50+ at our local hobby shop. Now Tanga has put Power Grid on sale AGAIN. *shakes fist*

Power Grid is one of those award winning titles from Rio Grande Games that's approachable, plays quickly, and is very deep. It's a winner with staying power. The only major drawback we can think of is the depiction of the translated rules (originally German) which are more complicated than they need to be. Other than that, Power Grid is a huge addition for you gaming pile, especially when it's at this price.

Funagain Games Essen Trade Show Board Game Preorders

EarthReborn.jpg The premier game show for all things Eurogames - Essen - is just around the corner. Gobs of games will be released from all corners of the industry, and Funagain Games has opened up their webstore so that you can preorder any or all of them from the comfort of your couch.

They currently have around 130 titles listed as titles they can purchase for you. They'll run the floor of the show, pickup the title, and send it off to you in a box. More titles will be added to their list as they work to confirm inventory and pricing from the genre's various publishers.

These aren't just new titles but other games that may have been on short supply at gaming stores. Publishers love to show up with new stock for the show's attendees and now you can get your mits on them without booking a flight to Germany.

And best of all - the prices are guaranteed to drop if the publisher designs to cut the cost of the title before the show. We're like kids in a candy store right now!
